Andalucía weekly weather August 18-21: Hot inland, cooler breezes on the coast
Cloud, sunshine and a touch of rain midweek as summer heat continues across the region

Monday August 18

The week begins with a warm, hazy feel as clouds drift in from the west, thickening through the morning. It will stay hot across much of the region, particularly around Córdoba, while places like Huelva cool slightly after the weekend. Along the Mediterranean coast, including Almería, temperatures will edge upwards again. Winds will stay light early on before the Poniente picks up in the afternoon, making the heat a little more bearable near the coast.
Tuesday August 19

Clearer skies return, with just a few high clouds about. Temperatures will ease off, especially in the Guadalquivir valley, giving some relief to residents of Seville. Cádiz will also enjoy a fresher feel, though the breeze will strengthen later in the day as westerly winds turn moderate along the coast. Inland, it stays warm but not quite as stifling as earlier in the week.
Wednesday August 20

Wednesday brings more settled weather with blue skies over much of Andalucía. The mercury will hold steady in the northwest, though across Granada and Jaén it dips a little further. A light to moderate Poniente keeps things moving, giving Tarifa its usual breezy afternoon, perfect for kite surfers, while inland towns enjoy slightly more comfortable daytime highs.
Thursday August 21

The week rounds off with a bit more variety. Most of the region, including Málaga, will see clear skies and sunshine, but in the far east there’s a chance of afternoon showers. Along the Mediterranean side, temperatures dip slightly, while further west they creep up again. Winds swing around as the Levante takes over on the coast, bringing a different feel for beachgoers from Almería to Málaga.
In summary, expect the hot days to continue but these should be eased at times by coastal breezes and the odd midweek cloud.
