HELP Murcia Mar Menor supports Hogar El Buen Samaritano with generous donation
HELP donated €3’000 to Hogar El Buen Samaritano to help provide food and essential items for hundreds of families across Murcia

Representatives from HELP Murcia Mar Menor were delighted to meet with Josué Sanchez and his son from Hogar El Buen Samaritano on Thursday October 16 at the HELP Outlet in San Javier to present a donation of €3’000 to this very important local charity.
Josué explained that the funds will go a long way towards helping families and children in need. Every week, Hogar El Buen Samaritano in Cartagena provides fresh chickens and vegetables to ensure that people have access to nutritious food, something especially vital for growing children.
Hogar El Buen Samaritano supports hundreds of local families through its work. Throughout the year, the organisation distributes food and essential supplies every week to more than 600 people, including around 250 families and 250 children.
They provide fresh produce such as fruit, vegetables, eggs and meat, as well as packaged and frozen food, hygiene items, cleaning products and essential goods for babies including milk, nappies and baby food.
In addition to providing food and home provisions, the charity also plays an active role in helping people rebuild their lives. Through its social and employment integration programme, Hogar El Buen Samaritano offers guidance and training to help individuals develop new skills, prepare CVs and find work.
Workshops are held to encourage healthy lifestyle habits and improve employability, while the team also provides one-to-one follow up and support.HELP Murcia Mar Menor, founded in 2002, continues to live up to its mission of supporting those in need across the Region of Murcia. HELP is a registered voluntary charitable organisation funded by voluntary contributions and monies raised at social events.
Over the years, the charity has grown from modest beginnings with just two second-hand wheelchairs to an impressive inventory of around 80 pieces of mobility equipment, from walking sticks to mobility scooters, all available for loan.
Equipment is available from the Office which is open for business on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10.00 - 12.30.
Anyone who would like to contribute can visit the HELP office in Los Alcázares or their Outlet at Avenida de la Unión 57 in San Javier, where volunteers are always happy to share more information. Opened in 2015, the Outlet offers the public a wide range of clothing, household items, furniture and more.
The Outlet is open five days a week from Monday - Friday 10.00 - 13.30. Deliveries and pick-ups are on Wednesday and Thursday with prior arrangement.
For more information about Hogar El Buen Samaritano, you can contact them at Camino a los Dolores 33, Los Molinos Marfagones, Cartagena, or by telephone on 722 729 345 or 968 350 513.
Together, HELP Murcia Mar Menor and Hogar El Buen Samaritano continue to show how community spirit and cooperation can make a lasting difference in people’s lives.
