Irish author Gavin Bonnar will be signing copies of his latest book at the Murcia Book Fair this Thursday
The Irish lawyer will be presenting his novel at the Feria del Libro in Murcia city

Gavin Bonnar, an Irish lawyer turned novelist, will be signing copies of his novel, The Fourth Estate, this Thursday October 10 at the El Corte Inglés stand of the Murcia Book Fair.
Gavin Bonnar is Sharon Corr’s ex-husband and the current brother-in-law of Queen Letizia of Spain.
Gavin will be signing his book from 12pm to 2pm, before a presentation of the novel at 7pm in Pavilion 1 (Las Anas) as part of the Cultural Area activities of El Corte Inglés.
The Fourth Estate is a novel of international geopolitics, which begins with the bankruptcy of its protagonist due to the debts contracted by his father, and the pressure that his bank exerts on the family assets that belong to him. However, knowing of the existence of a share of his fathers in a gold mine in Ghana, the protagonist then travels to Accra to take control of that share and thus recover part of his assets. There he will meet his father’s former partner, the richest man in the country, and his adopted son.
In Accra, he discovers secret meetings at the home of his father’s former partner, in which leaders of the so-called BRICS+ countries (originally Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, with the addition of new emerging countries) design the future of international transactions based on a new currency that will be based on the gold standard and will be controlled by these countries.
Throughout the novel, Matt, the protagonist, Lula, his girlfriend, Sir Joseph’s adopted son, his father’s former partner, and other characters become involved in a series of adventures involving power struggles, danger and threats from world leaders.
With this novel, Gavin Bonnar anticipates an economic scenario in which the BRICS+ countries have been ignored by the classic powers that make up the G7, and how these new economies have grown with a force that until just a few years ago they did not suspect.
So, if this sounds like your kind of novel, head down to the Murcia Book Fair, meet the author and have your book signed this Thursday.
