La Manga Club golf tournament prize money raised by over 100K
Champions UK plc have announced a huge increase in prize money for the 2024 Farmfoods European Masters Open Championship
Champions UK, the organisers of the Farmfoods European Masters Open, have announced that the prize money for the event is going up by 50% for this year’s tournament – from 250,000 euros in 2023 to a massive 375,000 euros in 2024.
Now in its third year at the world-famous La Manga Club in southeast Spain, the 2024 championship will take place between November 7 and 10 and will be played on the Club’s iconic south course, adjacent to the 5-star Grand Hyatt Golf Resort & Spa. Once again, the event will welcome a host of top-class professional golfers and legends of the game.
The likes of previous winners Paul Lawrie OBE in 2022 and Patrik Sjöland in 2023 will be joined by a host of household names, including tournament host and former Ryder Cup player Peter Baker, as well as Masters winner and previous world number 1 Ian Woosnam OBE, US Open winner Michael Jonzon, European Tour winner Gary Wolstenholme MBE, Ryder Cup player Jean van der Velde, European Tour winner Markus Briar and, new this year, Ryder Cup player, Dunhill Links and Dubai Dessert Classic winner, Scotland’s Stephen Gallacher MBE, will make his Legends European Senior Tour debut.
