November 8-10 International Chocomad Fair in Malaga
Alhaurín de la Torre in Malaga hosts the seventh edition of the International Chocolate Fair this weekend
This weekend, Malaga will be the epicentre of chocolate in Spain as Alhaurín de la Torre hosts the 7th edition of the International Chocolate Fair, Chocomad.
For the first time, this popular fair will be held in Andalucía and it promises to be an unforgettable experience for chocolate lovers.
The fair will take place from Friday November 8 to Sunday November 10 at the CSI Idea building in Alhaurín de la Torre. With a non-stop schedule from 10am to 10pm, chocoholics will have plenty of time to indulge in delicious tastings, explore the fascinating world of cocoa and enjoy the many activities and exhibitions on offer.
Daily tickets are available on the Chocomad website for just 5 euros, although children under 12 can enter for free, and seniors can enjoy a reduced price of 3 euros.
Over the three days of the fair, attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Enjoy more than 20 cooking demonstrations with over 60 national and international exhibitors showcasing the best chocolates and cocoas.
- Explore chocolate exhibitions and witness the creativity and talent of master chocolatiers.
- Discover and taste a wide variety of flavours, from traditional to exotic and gourmet.
- Attend competitions, presentations, workshops, cooking demonstrations, tastings, masterclasses and more.
Special events and tastings
In addition to the general admission, there are several special events and tastings that require a separate ticket. These include:
- 'Origin of Cocoa' tasting on Friday November 8.
- 'Flavours of Ecuador' tasting on Friday November 8 and Saturday November 9.
- 'Sensory wines of Malaga' tasting on Friday November 8 and Saturday November 9.
- 'Chocolate and drinks' tasting on Saturday November 9.
- 'Craft beers and chocolates’ tasting on Saturday November 9 and Sunday November 10.
- 'Chocolates and cheeses' tasting on Sunday November 10.
All of these events can be booked through the Chocomad website, along with general admission tickets.
