Work scheduled to reasphalt the road linking Hacienda del Álamo with Mazarrón

The maintenance work will be carried out in stages to reduce disruption to drivers and pedestrians

The Ayuntamiento de Fuente Álamo, in collaboration with the Regional Ministry of Development and Infrastructures, has commenced conservation and improvement work on the road connecting the districts of Cuevas de Reyllo and La Pinilla.

This initiative, which covers a 7-kilometre stretch of road where the Ken Sherwood English Mechanic is located, aims to enhance road safety and quality for both drivers and pedestrians along this stretch of road, which lies about halfway between the Hacienda del Álamo and Camposol resorts.

The project will be executed in different phases, focusing on essential upgrades to improve traffic conditions. One of the primary actions will be the repair of the road surface, addressing existing irregularities in the asphalt to ensure safer and more comfortable travel.

Improved signposting is another crucial aspect, with road paint being renewed to provide better visibility and orientation for motorists. Additionally, the cleaning of ditches will be carried out to remove debris and accumulated vegetation, significantly improving drainage and reducing risks during periods of heavy rain.

The aim is to provide greater safety for residents and also to improve connectivity between districts. There is currently no indication as to how long the work will take to be completed.
